What educators are saying

I used this as a whole group warm up for our basquait drawing project. It helped kids loosen up and draw in a style similar to his.
My students always enjoy these dice rolling activities and it was a good tie in to our Basquiat lesson

Description

This game can be played individually or with a group of students (I usually give one dice per table...you can purchase big foam dice off of amazon for super cheap and they are not noisy!) They will take turns rolling and have to draw what they roll. The first roll they will draw whatever head goes with that number, second roll they will draw the body, and so on.

This is a great game to play to give students different ideas of what kind of Jean-Michel Basquiat inspired monster/skeleton they want to draw! I noticed that 90% of my students always draw the exact same thing as my teacher sample for a project....this roll-a-basquiat game allows students to see more choices in front of them and give them different ideas.

I use this as part of my Basquiat Abstract lesson. We paint an abstract background and then paint our creatures on top of it.

Here are some different demo videos of projects you can use this with!
