Description

This Roaring 20s reading activity and worksheet covers many of the dramatic changes and conflicts that arose during this decade in US History.

The 1-page reading explains many of the major events of the 1920s in America, including:

  • The Red Scare
  • Sacco & Vanzetti trial
  • Quotas and the National Origins Acts
  • The KKK and terrorism
  • Prohibition
  • The Scopes trial
  • ...and more.

The reading is informative, but written at a level middle and high school students can understand.

Following the reading is a set of Common Core-aligned comprehension questions. An answer key for this is provided.

An editable Google Doc version of the activity and answer key are both included for your convenience!
