Description

One of my absolute favorite projects. THE STUDENTS LOVE IT!

Objective: Students learn about the events leading up to the American Revolution including the Pontiac's War (Pontiac's Rebellion), Proclamation of 1763, Sugar Act, Stamp Act, Quartering Act, Townshend Acts, Boston Massacre, Tea Act, Boston Tea Party and Coercive Acts (Intolerable Acts).

Students have an opportunity to show their understanding through song writing and performance. I always offer a "rap" option to those who don't want to sing in front of the class.

Included in purchase: Lesson description and handout for the students, steps to a successful project and performance, teacher grading rubric, sign up sheets and performance organization sheet for the teacher.

Students still come back and talk about this project years later! I do this project with my 7th grade US history class, but it can be adapted to almost any grade level.
