Rigorous Instruction Across Content Areas (Professional Development)

The word "rigor" is one that is overused and misused in educational circles. This PD engages teachers in what it means to have rigor in the classroom of the four major content areas, English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Teachers will walk away understanding that rigorous instruction is about levels of student thinking, engagement, and retention. Demystify the idea that Rigor=Hard for teachers.

Teachers will participate in activities designed to test their thinking and show them how to push and support rigor in their classrooms.
