Rig a Jig Jig

Students stand in a circle. One student walks around on the inside of the circle and choses a partner on the word "very good friend" and shakes their hand to the beat. On "Rig a Jig Jig" they take their other hand so hands are criss crossed and perform a back and forth motion to the beat. On "Away we go" continue to take hands and swing them back and forth. At the end of the song, now both students walk around the inside of the circle as a "snowball" game until everyone has a partner. If this is too much for your students, you can have students take the place in the circle where their partner was standing.
