Description

What is an Interactive Notebook for Geometry and Why is It So Fun?

Interactive notebooks are a fun tool you can use to teach a variety of concepts to all ages of learners. Every interactive notebook is different! Kinds of pages include: definitions, explanations, rules/statements, sensorial experiences, quizzes, and more types of activities that learners can use to explore math and geometry concepts. Interactive notebooks are useful afterward as study material, portfolios, or as a personalized and attractive reference material.

How and Why Should I Use Them with My Learners?

Interactive notebooks are an awesome tool you can use to introduce, reinforce, or review a variety of math and geometry rules, concepts, and experiences. They are perfectly appropriate for distance learning, in-class instruction, homeschoolers, private tutoring, extra support, and more!

This interactive notebook was designed to be used in a manner that can support Montessori teachers and learners. The AWESOME thing about this resource is that you DO NOT have to have any Montessori experience, training, or materials to use this resource. ALSO, ANY child can use this resource, whether they are in a Montessori (or Montessori-inspired) environment or not!

Do I Need Any Additional Materials? Yes, you will often need extra materials to use interactive notebooks, but the good news is that the materials are easily found around a typical classroom or home environment. Materials such as:

✅A spiral notebook or looseleaf papers and a binder

✅Scissors

✅Glue sticks or tape

✅Pencils

✅Coloured pencils, crayons, and/or markers

✅Colourful paper and/or stickers if you would like to decorate your notebook

What Do I Get with This Interactive Notebook?

Brief video preview of a version of this Notebook (included FREE in this listing) ⭐Photos of examples/models for each page so you can be confident

⭐Printables for learners to use as education material or to actually use in the book ⭐Support from me if you need it

❤️❤️Honestly, I was scared to try Interactive Notebooks at first, but they are FUN!❤️❤️

Recognize area as an attribute of plane figures and understand concepts of area measurement.
Measure areas by counting unit squares (square cm, square m, square in, square ft, and improvised units).
Solve real world and mathematical problems involving perimeters of polygons, including finding the perimeter given the side lengths, finding an unknown side length, and exhibiting rectangles with the same perimeter and different areas or with the same area and different perimeters.
Partition shapes into parts with equal areas. Express the area of each part as a unit fraction of the whole. For example, partition a shape into 4 parts with equal area, and describe the area of each part as 1/4 of the area of the shape.
Understand that attributes belonging to a category of two-dimensional figures also belong to all subcategories of that category. For example, all rectangles have four right angles and squares are rectangles, so all squares have four right angles.
