Description

"Don't Break the Big 8"

1.Students will be given an R&R card each week.
2.Each card is worth 25 points, or 5 points per day.
3.Students begin the day with 5 points.
4.As students go through their day, they are expected to follow classroom rules and procedures. In order to provide consistency within the building we have designated eight (8) areas we feel students need to focus their attention on following, or better known as the “Big 8”,
5.The “Big 8” is divided into three categories: Level I, II, and III.

•Level I: “minor” violations and more procedural rules and responsibility.

•Level II: “major” violations that specifically deal with students not following classroom rules.

•Level III: “severe” violations that deal with respect.

6.Students who violate any of the “Big 8” will have their R&R card marked.
7.When a student has accumulated five (5) marks in one week, they will be assigned a 30-minute detention. Detentions are assigned by the classroom teacher and will be scheduled on either a Tuesday or Thursday, before or after school.
8.Severe disciplinary actions are sent to the office for school administration to handle.
