What educators are saying

This was great for sub plans, and this activity was accurate with the description and function of the reproductive system.
I used these as part of my sexual health lessons in grade seven. Excellent resource. Thank you so much!

Description

Do you teach the male and female reproductive systems to your high school students? This 9-page activity is the PERFECT way to introduce the reproductive system to your anatomy, health, or biology students! No prior teaching required! Zero prep needed!

This is the second activity I use with my students in our Reproductive System Unit. Prior to this assignment, my students and I complete one of my favorite (and their favorite) activities of the year: Reproductive System Myth or Fact Challenge.

I personally use 2-3 days to complete this assignment with my students; however, I intersperse Doodle Notes throughout their time to complete so that students aren’t working for too long on one activity. My class periods are 45-minutes long. Here is my ideal schedule:

Interested in the layout of the packet?

  • Pages 1 - 4: The “chunked” reading and questions will take students one organ at a time through the female reproductive system. For each organ, students will read a short, student-friendly paragraph, answer questions that show evidence of reading, and then color the organ on a separate page.
  • Pages 4 - 6: The “chunked” reading and questions will take students one organ at a time through the male reproductive system. For each organ, students will read a short, student-friendly paragraph, answer questions that show evidence of reading, and then color the organ on a separate page.
  • Pages 7 - 8: Students will complete a large fill-in-the-blank chart. Within this chart students will need to apply what they have learned to determine which part of the reproductive system each statement is describing. This chart would be perfect to re-use on a test or quiz!
  • Page 9: Color the reproductive systems

Parts of the female reproductive systems covered: ovaries, follicles, ovarian ligaments, fallopian tubes, uterus, endometrium, cervix, vagina, vulva

Parts of the male reproductive system covered: testes, seminiferous tubules, scrotum, epididymis, vas deferens, prostate gland, seminal vesicles, urethra, penis

This resource includes both print and digital forms. When you purchase this resource, you will receive:
