Description

This thorough packet on the Renaissance is a perfect unit guide to help students understand all of the key concepts, people, and events they need to know about this era in World History!

The 9-page independent work packet includes engaging pages on all every aspect of the art, writing, and humanist philosophy of the Renaissance era. There's also standards-based Essential Questions to guide your whole unit!

It starts off with a short introductory reading on the Renaissance followed by the standards-based essential questions. Then, pages are dedicated to each of the following:

  • Vocabulary
  • Geography of Europe during the Renaissance
  • People to know (Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Machiavelli, etc)
  • A timeline of the Renaissance
  • Key concepts
  • Images and visual literacy

Content covered includes the Medici family, the concept of a "Renaissance Man", linear perspective, humanism, and more.

There are engaging analysis questions throughout the packet so that students are not just copying information, but thinking about the key concepts. Pages feature source excerpts and quotes, images for students to analyze, mapping to help improve geography skills, and more. It can be split up and used as worksheets or as a complete packet!

Also included is an editable Google Docs version of the entire packet. This version features links to great online sources and is perfect for those of you who have gone paperless or use Google Classroom. A link to online readings to use with the printed version is included as well!

A complete answer key is also included for your convenience.

This resource can also be downloaded as part of my complete Renaissance and Reformation Unit Bundle.
