What educators are saying

Great resource! Easy to follow instructions, actions and expectations. We used it in our school drama club for our Remembrance Day service.
Love having Canadian content to include in our Remembrance Day assembly! After having organized our assemblies the past few years, it was nice to include this in our presentation.

Description

Want to tell the story behind the poem In Flanders Fields and why we wear a poppy to remember? This short skit is a wonderful way to help children better understand the significance of wearing a poppy for Remembrance Day. The entire play is narrated by a teacher (or strong student) and is about 3 minutes long. There are approximately 10 students who can act out the different roles, (they have no lines), while the remaining students are at the back of the stage holding poppies and white crosses. Minimal costumes and props required. Ideal for grades 2-5. Try something different for your Remembrance Day Assembly this year!
