What a fun unit this is. My students loved learning the song and then completing the actiivites. A fun way to look at colours.
Description
In Japan the song, 赤い鳥小鳥 is a well-know children’s song.
With repetitive lyrics, it is easy to remember and an enjoyable way of practising colour adjectives.
In the traditional version, the colours red, white and blue are usual. In this resource I have added PINK, YELLOW, GREEN, PURPLE and ORANGE to further extend student’s knowledge.
Song charts are displayed in both Japanese (hiragana and romaji) and English for each colour.
The paper craft is simple enough for young students for whom the song is best suited. Instructions and a photo of the completed model are provided, along with the template.
Links to two YouTube video clips and a URL for the music are also included.
