This cultural scaffolded activity includes 3 versions so it can be completed by novice, intermediate low/mid, and intermediate-high/advanced students.

Activity description: Reading comprehension activities for novice, intermediate low/mid, and intermediate-high/advanced students.

With this reading comprehension activity, students learn about six Latin dishes with African roots.

• Novice students use the description of six dishes to answer reading comprehension questions. They also complete a match with vocabulary words.
• Intermediate low/mid students use the description of six dishes to answer reading comprehension questions. They also prepare a presentation about a dish with African roots in their community.
• Intermediate high/advanced students prepare a presentation about a dish with African roots in their community.
