Realidades / Auténtico Level 1 Chapter 6A Packet for Practice and Review

This packet has eleven helpful pages to help your students thoroughly understand and produce the ideas in the Realidades/Auténtico Chapter 6A in the level one book. Answer keys, teacher tips, and ideas for brain breaks are included at the end of the packet.

Here is a description of each page:

Page 1: Students take notes on the chapter vocabulary

Page 2: Students finish sentence starters to create a description of a bedroom, plus they draw it. They then read to two classmates, who listen and draw what they hear.

Page 3: Guided notes on making adjectives match nouns.

Page 4: Crossword puzzle on phrases with adjectives

Page 5: Story about two friends at IKEA. Students draw what each scene is about.

Page 6: Guided notes on "más ... que" and "menos... que"

Page 7: Guided notes on "mejor/peor/mayor/menor" que (I add in "mayor/menor que" for fun). There's a speaking activity ("two truths and a lie") at the end.

Page 8: Review of boot verbs they have seen (tener and jugar)

Page 9: Guided notes on new boot verbs (poder and dormir)

Page 10: A fun reading about a girl who plays a Nintendo Wii dance game to get better at soccer, plus comprehension questions

Page 11: Speaking activity with "poder"

Pages 12 - 23 are teacher tips and answer keys for each page (the answers are in blue). The last page has my seven favorite brain breaks to use during the chapter, including Pictionary. As a freebie, I include cards for the Pictionary game in the zip file :)
