Description

There are 8 accident scenario cards to choose from, and each student will need a partner. Each student receives a scenario (which they should not share with their partner - yet). They have a little picture and a name, an English description of what the person was doing when they got hurt, the type of injury that was sustained, and the treatment that was received. (So they are using the imperfect progressive and preterite all at once!) They have five minutes to convert this information into a Spanish paragraph detailing the events of the accident. Both partners are writing their paragraphs at the same time.

Then, they take turns reading each other their paragraphs. As they listen to their partner's narration, they answer a few short-answer questions (at the bottom of the page) to make sure they understand what they are hearing. They are reading, writing, translating, and listening, all in one fell swoop!
