Description
With this one purchase you will have weekly homework for an entire year! "Real World ASL Homework" gives students the freedom to choose their own homework assignment, from a menu of 34 different options, each week.
Each assignment requires students to use or experience the ASL they've learned, whether it be introducing themselves and carrying on a conversation with a d/Deaf person in the community, watching an ASL Vlog, going to a religious service in ASL or with an ASL interpreter. They have to apply their knowledge of the language to the real world! Then they are required to write a brief description of the homework they did, what they learned, and how they felt about doing it. I have them turn in this portion on Google Classroom every Monday, but you can have them prove to you what they've completed in whatever way matches your teaching style.
A FULLY editable PPT version is included so you can change when and how the homework is due, what the options are, and it includes a place for you to insert your email address for questions.
Gone are the days of wracking your brain to come up with homework for a language that is not written! Get your students to practice American Sign Language outside of class all year with this one assignment.
