"Ready, Set, Sew!" Visual Guide to Threading the Sewing Machine [Singer 717/719]
- Publisher files
Description
This visual guide takes your students step by step through threading the top and bottom (bobbin) parts of the sewing machine. This is specifically designed for the Singer Scholastic Models 717/719, although many principles remain the same for any machine.
Each step is simple and accompanied by at least one photo. Essential vocabulary is also included at the back of the packet. Also includes a "How do I know if my machine is threaded correctly?" section, since we all know that is always a student's most common question!
Teacher's Note: I have had excellent results and dramatic improvements when I have used this booklet to teach/supplement practice of threading the machine. If you have mobile devices (iPads/iPodTouch/Tablets/ Laptops) in your school and can get the document to your students (ex.via GoogleDrive), this is a great option, since students are able to open the file in color and zoom in on the photos as needed!
PLEASE NOTE: This is uploaded as a Publisher file, which is not editable on a Mac. If you purchase the item and have a Mac computer and wish to have a PDF instead so you can open the file, send me a Question with your email address and I will send you that version.
Note on teaching duration: I have listed 3 days because I do one demonstration day and 1-2 days of practice before the practical/written test of threading. The test I use is also available in my store!
PRINTING NOTE: Print "Booklet Style," and double sided.
