Description

This reading a weather map science activity gives your students the opportunity to practice reading a weather map using various weather map symbols. Students in fourth grade or fifth grade will also be able to look for patterns in weather when they work through four consecutive days of weather maps. The students will answer questions using one map at a time. As they work through Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 maps, they will look for patterns in the weather, especially how fronts progress. The students will then predict what they think Day 4 map will look like based on what they know about basic weather patterns. This resource is editable in PowerPoint.
