Description
Instead of giving students RACE (Restate, Answer, Cite Evidence, Explain) strategy or showing them what NOT to do, provide them with a plan that allows them to write on their level with guidance.
Comic One-Pagers, i.e., Reading Squares serve to access both mixed language and imagery to further illustrate for the reader what the writer understands about life and the text they are reading.
Professional Development will be provided for any district that wishes to incorporate this strategy for all educators.
