Reading Responses for Any Fiction Text for GOOGLE and Distance Learning

My guess is that if you are previewing this product, you have an interest in making digital resources and technology a meaningful part of your reading instruction. The beauty of reducing paper use, having the ability to engage students and make decisions based on student needs and abilities are some of the reasons why I am loving my one-to-one classroom. Not one-to-one? No problem!

Use these Google Drive resources on one Chromebook or laptop at a station or when you go to your computer lab! As you dig in, you will get more and more creative. You will find ways to use them with your entire class, as extensions for capable learners, and as interventions for those needing extra help. Students love the infusion of technology—and this is the world they need to learn to navigate!

This resource is meant to be used as a tool ALL YEAR LONG to help your students practice writing quality responses to fiction texts--whether they be short stories, class read alouds, literature circles, or independent reading. This resource includes THIRTY different reading responses that can be used at different points in any text--and can be used over and over! I love having students look back at work examples from early in the year and compare to how they are doing after practice. These are also perfect to use as a part of a gradual release model of instruction where you show them, you do it together, and then they try writing on their own!

Just access the link found in the download, make a copy, and share with your students. Once you have made a copy, you can move slides around, cut slides out, and tailor the resource exactly the way you want. Need to print it? No problem! Because this is a digital file, using Google Drive allows you the flexibility to have your students work at school AND at home!
