What educators are saying

I have used this on and off throughout the year when I need ideas for homework. My students love the variety. Thank you.
This is an excellent resource that is thorough. It is very helpful with instruction and student engagement.

Description

These menus are a fun-filled way to incorporate a variety of reading responses throughout the entire school year!

The menu format provides two fiction and one nonfiction choice for each appetizer, main course, and dessert. Each fiction menu item is used twice throughout the entire year, so there's plenty of variety to go around! Each nonfiction menu item is alternated from month to month.

Students will choose one of the three choices from each course- appetizer, main course, and dessert, and complete their responses on the accompanying pages. There are two response sheets from which to choose {download the preview to see both FREE!}.

The last three pages include all 36 menu choices (12 for each course) for your reference.

Months included are August through June and include both color and black & white versions.

In my class, I use these printed front-back as at-home reading logs and responses. Students complete one per week based on their at-home reading, so they will practice skills from each menu approximately 3-4 times a month. The variety helps keep the interest high, and the choices help keep my kids involved with different aspects of the text.
