Description

Task cards for reading responses and journal writing can be used with ANY book. Engages students in writing about their reading.

There is a variety of questions about story, author, characters, setting, problem, solution, making connections to the reading and more! Great for independent seat work, small groups, whole class, fast finishers and homeschoolers.

These Reading Response Journal Question task cards include 28 writing prompts and reading response questions to invite children to write about their reading. Two cards on a page - cards measure 4" x 6". Each card is numbered so you can refer to card number when correcting the student's response. Download, laminate and place in your reading-writing center. Also included are labels for reading journals and classroom bin. Teacher Resource pages where questions are numbered and listed for easy correction.

You can also get these very same questions in a cut-out strip format for Reader Response Journals. Students cut the strip and tape or glue the question in their reading response journal and then respond to the question.
