Description

Are you trying to get your students more interested in reading? Try giving them a reading interest survey at the beginning of the year (or anytime!) to determine how much they love reading. This quick survey helps you to take inventory of their likes and dislikes when it comes to books. It will also serve as a great reference piece for the entire school year; you can refer back to it to help recommend books to students.

The survey will address items like:

  • How often students read
  • How they choose books
  • What genres they like and dislike
  • Favorite and least favorite books
  • Hobbies and interests
  • Favorite movies/shows/series
  • Favorite social media (to give you ideas of things they like)

The survey even includes a box for you to write in book recommendations!

As a bonus, you'll get two pages of tips and tricks for encouraging the love of reading in your classroom! I'll give you all of my best advice for implementing a strong reading culture throughout the year. And for a double bonus, you'll also get a link to an electronic Google form of the reading interest survey. :) Happy reading!
