This Types of Genres PowerPoint explains the main forms of literature and common reading genres. Defines the difference between fiction and nonfiction and provides descriptions and examples of many sub-genres of each, including biography, autobiography, realistic fiction, historical fiction, science fiction, fantasy, high fantasy, mystery, folktales, fables, legends, myths, and classics. Includes a Types of Genre Quiz. Helps students consider different genres and exposes them to different kinds of writing, expanding their knowledge of literature and pique their interest in reading. Includes a 15-question self-grading Easel Assessment your student can take online. Use PowerPoints in video conferencing or Zoom for remote learning. Share with your students in OneDrive and Microsoft Teams. Upload to Google Drive and save as Google Slides, and it will automatically convert for use in Google Classroom.
