Description

This product is a Reading Digital Escape Room for grades 9-12

Student Introduction: Welcome to the High School Debate Digital Escape Room! Your teacher has set up a debate to discuss if technology is making us lazy. You need to research the topic and come to your own conclusion to escape this website. Is technology negatively impacting our life? Is it actually benefiting most people? You will find your first clue by clicking the Snapchat smart watch image.

This is a completely NO PREP activity with ANSWER KEY included.

Great for back to school!

Give your kids a break at the end or beginning of a unit and have them solve these puzzles! Personally I use this as an opener to my 9th grade in the first week of school. I usually put students in groups of 2 or 3 but this can also be done individually. I encourage students to have a piece of paper in front of them to write down the clues. As the teacher all you do is post the link on your class page and that is all the kids need. There is nothing to print except if you want to print the answer key for yourself while the kids play. Enjoy!

INCLUDED:

  • Students will read two articles
    • one article is in favor of technology
    • one article is against technology

  • Students solve a WORD REVEAL code for the first article
  • Students solve a SYMBOLS clue after watching the short YOUTUBE video which is both FOR and AGAINST technology (The VIDEO FILE is included for you to play to the class if you don't have access to youtube at your school)
  • Clue #3 is the second article where students solve a MORSE CODE clue
  • Clue #4 Students read CHARTS AND GRAPHS and DECIPHER the WORD
