These 8 task cards that cover making inferences, main idea, theme, and summarizing a text are perfect for Ohio's AIR test prep or common core standardized test prep. They use excerpts from popular youth novels to help engage your students as they practice their reading comprehension skills.
The cards contain a short excerpt and use multiple-choice, evidence-based selected response (A/B questions), multiselect, and short response questions.
They can be used in small groups, literacy centers, stations, partner work, intervention groups, and much more. You could also use one card at a time with your whole class as a warm-up, mini-lesson, or exit ticket. An answer key is included as well as a student recording sheet.
