Readers theater is an excellent way to teach science content while improving fluency, comprehension and giving students an opportunity to shine. While providing authentic reasons to read and reread, students can analyze characters, plots and other story elements in an interdisciplinary study of these topics.

Invasion of the Germs
What's the difference between a viral and bacterial infection? Students get fluency practice and solidify science concepts when they read and reread this six page, six scene reader's theater. Includes language arts connections, online resources and kinesthetic activities to reinforce the material in different ways for different learning styles.

Geri Spring is Here
Imagine various animals in a desert food web appearing on the Jerry Springer show. Your students will gain a new understanding of the interaction between consumers and producers in this short, light hearted look at who eats who n the desert. Five characters, run time approximately 9 minutes. Also contains links to online resources.
