SCRIPT SYNOPSIS:

In this play, two families unexpectedly come together for a Thanksgivingdinner! Dan invites the neighbors over for their first Thanksgiving since moving from Colombia (without telling his parents). Thankfully, Dan’s parents and two little sisters warmly welcome the Ortegas and their son, Daniel. Even with the “Dad Jokes” flying around them, Dan’s Grandpa and his Great-Aunt Muriel are quite cranky. When they all sit down for dinner, bread becomes the main topic of conversation when Camila brings traditional Colombian dishes, and Melissa makes her “perfect” honey-wheat rolls. Dinner was going smoothly (Aunt Muriel would disagree) until a mishap occurs when Dan and Daniel’s common nickname creates a spill…and a surprising comment from Grandpa!
