- PDF
What educators are saying
Description
This package includes four original advent plays. Great to use in Christian schools, Sunday School, or as a church play, the scripts follow the journey of three children as they discover the meaning of advent throughout the holiday season.
Four scripts include:
*Hope - Children learn the meaning of hope as they send Christmas cards.
*Love - Children shop for a toy drive to discover the meaning of love.
*Joy - Children find the meaning of joy while Christmas caroling.
*Peace - Children learn the meaning of peace when an ice skating outing turns into an accident.
These scripts can be used as stand alone skits each week as your church lights the advent candle, as a four act play for your school, or as a reader's theater for the classroom.
*Note: If using skits to light the advent candles, I recommend performing Reader's Theater: The Nativity when lighting the "Christ" candle on Christmas Eve.
**Note for Bible In A Year users: These scripts correspond with each week of The Nativity unit. Each script features that week's community helper, Bible story, and advent theme.
