Read and Write the Room Decodable Phonics Task Cards for Reading Fluency

Use these Phonics and Fluency Read and Write the Room Cards to get your students reading, writing, up and moving, and HAVING FUN!

DIRECTIONS:
First, decide between the beginner set or the advanced set. Then, cut out the cards.
Stick the picture cards around the classroom or even outside! Print one recording sheet per student. Have students identify the picture and read/write the word on their sheet.

INCLUDED IN EACH RESOURCE:
Beginner Cards - Students look at the picture, read the words or sentences, then write the correct answer on their recording sheet. (multiple choice)
Advanced Cards - Students look at the picture, read the sentences, and spell/write the word on their recording sheet.

*Each phonics pattern includes 24 beginner cards and 24 advanced cards in color and black and white.

When can I use this activity?

• Hang the cards in the back of the room and use as a literacy center or station during reading groups.
• Use as a whole group activity after learning the phonics pattern.
• Tape each card to a ruler and put them around the school building! My students love going outside to read/write the PLAYGROUND!
