"Rapid Response" Sideline Concussion Evaluation Lab

This resource was created to pair with a lecture on concussions in sport. Each student should receive a copy of the worksheet. They will work in pairs to complete the sideline concussion evaluation skills. Starting with a review of retrograde and anterograde amnesia. Students will then create questions for an amnesia assessment questionnaire and challenge their partner to a memory recall drill. Students will also test their response time with the drop ruler baseline test. A ruler for each group is required to complete this assignment and step by step instructions are included on the worksheet. Finally students will practice the basics of the Balance Error Scoring System recording their partners baseline errors.
