Looking to engaging your students in the process of determining historical significance? Use "Rank the Frank" to help your students read for evidence, craft persuasive paragraphs, and understand how historians determine historical significance.
Through an investigation of three background briefs on Charlemagne, Charles Martel, and Pepin, students will glean pieces of evidence from which they can make a persuasive case as to which Frankish leader had the greatest impact, on the greatest amount of people, over the longest period of time.
All necessary graphic organizers and background briefs are provided, with in-text definitions for challenging words!
