Description

Students love learning about tropical rainforest animals. This compare and contrast essay writing resource gives them practice writing about animal characteristics, diet, habitat, and more. Four reading passages with bullet points, doodle notes taking pages, a scaffolded informative writing organizer, writing papers, and a rainforest word search round out this product.

Take advantage of your students' curiosity and eagerness to learn about rainforest animals and channel it into informational writing.

Use this compare and contrast product for:

  • ❇ Informative text writing about rainforest animals
  • ❇ Learning about herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores
  • ❇ Learn about distinguishing animal characteristics

The reading passages are original, written by a teacher (me) with specific details to compare and contrast between two animals. They can be used at any age level, but will appeal most to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, grade students.

  • Are you hoping it's a NO-PREP resource? Just print the student pages and you're set!
  • Are you hoping it's rigorous and meets standards in writing? It meets writing standards for informative writing. They'll be fully engaged to tell their stories with these new prompts.

This NO-PREP resource is in printable PDF format. All your students need are pencils, and perhaps an eraser. You can use this year after year.
