Description

This 32 slide PowerPoint is a comprehensive film analysis and study guide aimed at teaching films with a global dimension. Rabbit-Proof Fence is about an 'epic journey across an unforgiving landscape that tests the girls’ very will to survive'. Their only resources – tenacity, determination, ingenuity, and each other. By looking through different voices and perspectives, students are able to understand themes and issues important in our increasing globalised world. The study guide follows the usual structure of pre-viewing exercises, historical context, stolen generations, and setting. Activities for students to work through as they view the film, together with themes and narrative techniques examined. As well as a character study, there are Extension Film Tasks to assist students on how to ‘read’ films. Editable and Printable. Answers included.
