Description

Response to Intervention (RTI) can be defined as a multi-tiered approach that identifies children at risk for learning difficulties and provides them with high quality interventions to accelerate their learning.

There are many children in our schools who may present with mild to severe speech and language deficits. In an effort to support these children and their classroom teachers, I have developed this packet of classroom interventions that can be used as part of your school's RTI program.

This resource includes:

* Communication Snapshot

* Popular Speech Therapy Terms

* Classroom Teacher RTI Strategies

* Various RTI printables (ex. prompt cards, visual aides, organizers, etc.)

* Progress Monitoring and Reporting Forms

This resource is not intended to replace speech therapy or ask a classroom teacher to do the job of a therapist. The strategies provided are modifications that a classroom teacher can integrate into the school day and necessary lessons with ease. If the child or children being monitored do not demonstrate progress with these interventions, this is evidence that a referral for a screening or formal evaluation may be necessary.

Enjoy!
