QAR Activity to Use With Any Text

This is a Question-Answer Relationship resource which can be used with any text. Students can use the guide as a reference to recognize and answer the four types of questions:

Right There
Think and Search
Author and Me
On My Own.

Students can practice this strategy by highlighting each type of question in a different color. Students can also practice writing their own questions to trade with peers or simply to practice the QAR strategy for reading comprehension.

I use it with my fourth and fifth grade reading students, but it could also be used with third graders as well as middle schoolers.
