CONTENTS

Differentiated worksheets (3 pages): three differentiated variations of one worksheet to practice using Pythagoras' Theorem to find missing lengths in right-angled triangles.

  • Sheet A has 10 main questions, which includes 2 worded problems and a 3D problem. It also has 1 additional extension challenge question which requires students to solve repeated Pythagorean problems.
  • Sheets B and C consist of the 10 main questions, but with hints and structure to help students tackle the same questions. Teacher notes and answer key included.

Suggested use:

Individual practice: I tend to describe the different sheets to students and allow them to self-select, with guidance if needed. For example, I say try:

  • Sheet A if you are confident with pythagoras theorem and need a challenge.
  • Sheet B if you understand the content but would like a few hints to get started.
  • Sheet C if you are finding the content more challenging and want some structure and hints to help.
