What educators are saying

This was fun and gave the students a good look at the Puritans and how they lived. Will add this permanently to the curriculum.
Write on with Miss G products are rigorous and formatted in a pleasing, easy-to-follow fashion. They're fun, too! I enjoy using them in class - and my students do as well.

Description

I USED to introduce Puritanism and Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" with a (lame and boring) PowerPoint. Now I teach it with these engaging learning stations that help students discover Puritanism through collaborative learning stations.

These 4 stations will acquaint your students with the crazy Puritans of the Salem Witch Trials and "The Crucible." Understanding Puritanism is essential pre-reading context for "The Crucible."

When I facilitate stations, discussion is a key component. Students read aloud each station, discuss the essential question, and then record their thinking in a response sheet (provided). After stations are finished, we wrap up with a class discussion, during which I can fill in any gaps in their understanding.

This product will get you a 5-page PDF, complete with 4 stations and 1 student response sheet.
