WHAT IS INCLUDED?

---------------------------------

Pumpkin Life Cycle Slideshow

Using real-life pictures, this slideshow walks students through the life cycle of a pumpkin - starting with seeds and growing into a pumpkin. Slideshow comes in a PDF format.

Mini Book

Students can read and color their mini book that coordinates well with the slideshow.

Pumpkin Vocabulary

Differentiated activities included! One activity students cut and match the words, and one where students cut and have to figure out where each word goes on their own. Also included are vocabulary pages where students trace the words (this one comes with color and BW for your convenience.)

Words include seed, seedling, flower, vine, plant, pumpkin

Pumpkin Numbers and Counting

Activities and worksheets for students to practice numbers and counting using pumpkins and seeds.

Pumpkin Class Book

Make a Pumpkin class book! This comes in both color and BW. Each page has a number (1-25 plus a blank pumpkin for you to write more numbers if you need). Every student gets a page and can write what they would do with ____# of pumpkins.

Pumpkin Tasting and Treats

You can bring pumpkin treats to class (optional) and make a graph of students' favorites! Students then use the activity page with a word bank and sentence starter to write about their favorite pumpkin treat.

Pumpkin Art

A blank pumpkin art page is included so students can decorate with paint, pumpkin stickers or stamps.

Pumpkin Sequencing

Included are different activity pages for students to match words to show the changes pumpkins go through. Students also sequence pumpkins from smallest to largest in both color and black and white. These make excellent centers.

Sequencing with Silly Pumpkins

So many cute activities are included! Students must differentiate and match the silly pumpkin faces, write about what the silly pumpkins might say, write the numbers under the silly pumpkins and cut and paste a sentence in order.

Pumpkin Patterns

Two activity pages included - students can make their own pumpkin patterns, and must follow the patterns correctly.

Pumpkin Science

Beautiful, colorful real-life pictures show students the four things pumpkins need to grow: soil, sunlight, water and oxygen. They can then complete the coordinating activity page where they color, cut/paste and trace the words. A craft is included so students can show what is inside a pumpkin, and students label (cut/paste) all the parts of a pumpkin.

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
