Public Service Announcement (PSA) Project

Your students will love creating PSAs about topics that affect high school students! This can also be easily edited for any grade level! Use the google doc to change the directions to match your student needs. This is great for teaching about social issues in a class about sociology, CTE, health, or any class that teaches character or social issues. Depending on how much effort and time you would like your students to spend, this could be a 1-2 week project or a semester long project. This is a great print and go activity, or you can tweak it to fit your class.

Deadline sheet/ Checklist is included! You can choose deadlines for the students or ask them to create their own.

Assignment:

  1. Choose a topic and get it approved
  2. Make a tangible product (poster, flyer, or brochure)
  3. Create a PSA (commercial)
  4. Evaluate your own PSA
  5. Evaluate other PSAs viewable in a gallery walk
