What educators are saying

This is a great resource to get my 12th grade psych students started on understanding how psychology is connected to their daily lives
This was great for buy-in at the beginning of the year. It let students see that psychology is everywhere in their lives!

Description

My goal for the first week of school is to create a curiosity for the content in psychology. I want students to connect how valuable the course will be as their elective and how applicable the information is in their everyday lives. I have used the activity in my Psychology I and AP Psychology courses. The scavenger hunt is the students searching for ways that psychology is already in their life. The questions highlight different topics in the course without the students realizing it! The students complete the scavenger hunt as homework and we discuss their findings on the last day of school for the first week. There are 18 scavenger hunt items. You will purchase a PDF that is ready to print and a google form that is ready for digital learning! I have also included a google form of the assignment (forced copy) and a google document version for you to be able to edit.

Sample questions:

  • How has a teacher motivated you at school this week?
  • What is a popular trend that you are following right now?
