What educators are saying

These prompts were a great way to start class and connect students to our lesson for the day. Thank you!
These prompts are a great way to open class, and get students thinking/talking about our topics and applying them to real-life scenarios.

Description

Designed for psychology teachers to begin their class periods. I have worked really hard to create prompts that get the students excited about each lesson and assess their prior knowledge/opinions. You will have a writing prompt for every unit during the school year. This product includes lifetime access to updated links in my Google Drive. Every product is in a format that can be edited.

THIS RESOURCE INCLUDES

  • 4-5 Bell Ringer Prompts Per Unit
  • Beautifully Designed PowerPoint Slides with the Prompts (Ready to Present)

UNITS INCLUDED

  • Scientific Foundations of Psychology
  • Biological Bases of Psychology
  • States of Consciousness
  • Sensation & Perception
  • Learning
  • Cognitive Psychology
  • Memory
  • Developmental Psychology
  • Motivation & Emotion
  • Personality
  • Social Psychology
  • Clinical Psychology

Sample Prompt: Do you think the time will come when we will be able to predict almost everything about someone by examining their DNA on the day they are born? How significant is your DNA to who you are? (Biological Bases of Behavior Unit)

I recommend a think-pair-share strategy to start class. The students should come into class and look for the prompt posted on the board (slides). The students should write their responses independently and think through their prior knowledge/opinions. Then students share their responses with their neighbor/group (gets students engaged/participating). The next step is to have the whole class discuss and transition into the lesson.
