Description
If you are looking for a solid resource to supplement your proportional relationships instruction, this is it! This resource includes task cards, worksheets, and assessments on proportional relationships in tables, graphs and equations. Below you will find a detailed description of each resource.
Proportional Relationship Task Cards
This product includes twenty task cards divided into five stations about proportional reasoning. The stations include four questions on each of the following: graphs, tables, verbal descriptions, equations and ratios. Students are asked to explain how they know if a proportional relationship exits in a graph, table, and a verbal description. Students are also asked to calculate the constant of proportionality and to identify it in a table, graph and equation.
Proportional Relationship Worksheets
Have your students explore proportional relationships with this resource! Students will determine the unit rate and independent and dependent variables in order to create a table, graph and equation. Students will answer eight additional questions about the constant of proportionality (in a table, graph, equation and verbal description), equivalent ratios and proportional relationships.
The second part of the resource has students examine two gym memberships. Students create a table, graph and an equation for both memberships. Follow-up questions are asked in order for students to explore whether or not the memberships represent a proportional relationship. A two question exit slip is also provided.
Constant of Proportionality Worksheet
With this resource, students will explore various values in a table to determine the constant of proportionality (k). They will write equations and calculate the missing values. Students will have a deeper understanding of the relationship between the independent variable (x) and dependent variable (y) after completing this two page worksheet.
The second part of the worksheet asks students to find the missing values in a table if they are provided the constant of proportionality. Students are also asked to explain how they would know if two variables are proportional and how they would know two variables are not proportional in a table.
Proportional Relationships - Equations, Tables and Graphs
This resource asks students to identify proportional relationships in tables, graphs and equations. A detailed description of the resource is provided below. Included you will find a reference sheet, examining tables worksheet, examining graphs worksheet, examining verbal descriptions and equations worksheet, equations, table and graphs - mixed review worksheet, exit slips and a two page (16 questions) assessment.
Proportional Relationships Quizzes
Need to assess your students on each one fo the ratio and proportional relationships standards? Look no further! This resource includes three asssessments that can be used for each one of the standards. A complex fractions (7.rp.1), proportional relationships (7.rp.2) and percent applications (7.rp.3) are included.
