Projectable & Printable Rhythm Flashcards (150 Interactive Rhythm Cards)

This product contains 150 printable and interactive rhythm flash cards for your elementary music students. The interactive cards can be displayed using a projector and allow students to click or touch each slide to see the flash cards fly onto the page!

Online Use Terms: This product can only be used on password protected platforms and cannot be used in courses or groups that other teachers or administration have access to. Examples of acceptable platforms include Google Classroom and Schoology. Examples of non acceptable platforms include Outschool, YouTube, your district website, etc. This product also cannot be emailed or shared with other teachers or with other homeschool parents.

Tips For Online Use: This product contains pdf's with multiple pages in each pdf document. To upload a single page to your online platform (like Google Classroom), open the pdf and select file and then print. Once the print dialogue box is open, select "print to pdf" under the dropdown list at the top. Select the specific page number you are wanting to use and the folder you want it saved to and click "save." Go to the folder you just saved to and you should see the single page pdf you just created. Now you can upload the pdf to your online platform. Another option for both pdf's and PowerPoint documents is to copy/paste the document to a new folder and then delete all of the pages/slides except the page(s) you want to upload to your online platform.

Included In This Product:

★150 rhythm flash cards (Note: The cards do not include stick notation)

★Printable flash cards- These are color-coordinated by grade level (Also included in black and white), and can be printed on white paper or on colored cardstock. Ideas for how to print and organize the cards are included in the product. Note: All cards include four-beat rhythms; however, cards containing only three beats are also included for more advanced rhythms.

★Interactive flash cards- These are also color-coordinated by grade level. PowerPoint and PDF versions of this document are included. This document can be displayed using a projector, and students can take turns clicking or touching the images on each slide to see the flash cards fly onto the page!

★Explanation Pages- This presentation includes short explanations of new rhythms as they appear throughout the document. Each explanation includes information on the name and parts of the new rhythm, the rhythm syllable to say when performing it, and an opportunity to practice the new rhythm before displaying the interactive flash cards (Note: If you use different rhythm syllables with your students, simply teach your preferred syllables when you get to those slides).

★Rhythm Syllable Chart- This chart summarizes the syllables I use for each rhythm throughout the PowerPoint presentation. Feel free to refer to it or use your own system.

PowerPoint files come in both PDF and PowerPoint formats. All printables come in PDF. This product is not editable.

Materials Needed:

✓A projector is required to use the PowerPoint presentation.

✓A Smart Board is not required but is helpful when utilizing the interactive portion of this product. If you do not have a Smart Board, allow students to click each slide at your computer.

✓ You will need a printer and paper to print the printable rhythm cards. Note: Colored cardstock is required to achieve the look shown on the cover (with each card in full color). Colored versions of each card are provided but only include a thin outline of color around each card.

✓ Shower curtain rings, metal rings, plastic bins or another way to organize the printable cards are recommended.
