    Check out this bundle of engaging project-based learning (PBL) activities for 2nd grade! This is a great way to learn about the standards and skills your 2nd graders need! Each project will get them out of their seats, happily practicing the standards in a real-life situation! Students will put their reading, writing, math, and science skills to work with these projects!

    A page is also included to explain each element of project-based learning and how this is incorporated into the project.

    Driving Question: How can I help people in my school stay safe during severe weather and natural disasters?

    School Vegetable Garden

    This is the scenario: Your students are tasked with learning about school gardens so that they can plan their own proposal to submit to the school members. Grade level text is included so that students can learn how to grow certain vegetables, what a plant needs to grow and thrive, and the purpose of raised vs. in-ground garden beds!

    A page is also included to explain each element of project-based learning and how this is incorporated into the project.

    Class Pet

    This is such a fun way to get your students involved in choosing your class pet! Don't want a live one? A stuffed animal works as well, but I bet you'll want a real one by the end of this project! Teach your students important standards and skills while learning about animals.
