Save Christmas! A Holiday Themed Project Based Learning Activity
This project takes elements of math, writing, social studies, ELA, and technology and combines them with student imagination and creativity as they work through the problem of finding the missing Naughty & Nice List.

There are 10 activities (1 page for each) for students to work through. Each page involves a problem or idea they must solve, recreate, or answer.

-Around Town--social studies, community, map skills
-The Neighborhood--maps skills, technology
-Instapolar--social media, technology
-Pack Your Bags--reasoning, inference
-Express Polar Travel--creative writing,
-The polar bear problem--math skills, geometry
-Santa’s Village--math, social studies
-You, the Hero--writing, ELA
As students work through each page of the project they will make their own decisions and choose the outcomes. By the end all students will have completed the project, but each version will be based on the users own imagination, creativity, and knowledge base.
All pages can be geared towards multiple grade levels, although for some younger students the teacher may need to give more explicit instructions.
Though not needed, students may choose to use textbooks, maps, computers, the Internet, and/more to complete each page. They might even choose to work with a partner, ultimately the choice is yours (as the teacher).
For quick use just print off the pages. There are 14 pages. Give them out one at a time or staple them all together.
Page 18 includes ways to add extension activity onto each work section for more rigorous opportunities.
-Page 19 can be switch out for p12 for students outside of North America.

ACCESSING THIS DIGITAL RESOURCE
What you need to get started:
1. Download Link for the Google Slide Product
2. Have access to the Internet and a Google Account. (FREE)
3. Open the file on your own Google Drive and engage while in the edit mode.
4. Printer access to print out the finished product. (OPTIONAL).
Beginning your Google Slides Project:
Before you begin editing/filling in your project, it is VERY important to first make a copy of the file, on your own Google Drive.
Once you make a copy of the original file it will enable you to edit it and make any changes.
After creating a copy of the resource you can decide which slides you would like to include and which ones to delete before you assign this as an assignment.
