What educators are saying

This was a great supplement to my Egypt unit in World history and a great capstone to compare visually what people think of Egypt with the actual history that we learned in class.
I've used this in two different classes: 6th grade world history and 8th grade religion while we watch Prince of Egypt. The kids seemed to really like how it was presented and helped them to follow along with the movie!

Description

This viewing guide helps the students think through and keep track of the Prince of Egypt. This was made by a public school teacher in order to teach about myths and lessons during our World Religions unit. The Central Question of this lesson was "What significance do you believe this myth (traditional/sacred story) holds to the people who believe it?" Included in the lesson was a rephrase of the same question, "What purpose does this myth serve?"

Time: You can show the movie in one day or two days, depending on your class length. I taught this for 7th grade, breaking it up into 3 days.

Length: Students are asked a total of 22 questions.

Short Reflection Essay: After the movie, the students are asked a reflection question that they are directed to answer in two paragraphs.
