Description

Spice up your Victorian England unit (but not too much because it is...the Victorian Era)! In this unit plan, students read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the parody/adaptation of Jane Austen's classic Pride and Prejudice. This unit supports an in-depth analysis of a difficult text while still being fun for students and teachers alike.

This resource includes...

  • A Unit Plan/Timeline that breaks the novel into quarters
  • A film guide for Pride and Prejudice, which serves as an introduction to the Victorian era
  • Weekly reading questions
-Weeks One & Three are short answer and have answer keys. Weeks Two & Four are writing assignments and have a mastery learning rubric
  • Weekly assignments for enjoyable formative assessment (heavy emphasis on textual evidence)
  • Discussion questions for the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies film
  • A summative assessment project and mastery learning rubric

I hope this resource gives you a fun new way to delve into Victorian England!
