Description

This product features 2 singable poems of the two Presidents (George Washington and Abraham Lincoln) whose birthdays are celebrated on Presidents’ Day. The Lincoln penny and Washington dollar are part of the poems’ lyrics. Included is a math center activity using pennies and counting by 1’s and 10’s to 100 (dollar). Two Take-Home worksheets are also included. A Mini-movie of the Washington song is included!

NOTE: This FREEBIE is part of a larger product called “Presidents' Day Packet". The non-fiction Shared Reader & additional resources connect reading, writing, and history using photographs & paintings. Children enjoy singing about these historical figures while learning the differences between them. Beginning Readers and MANY teaching materials & resources are included. The FULL Presidents' Day packet is loaded with Literacy and Math activities for teaching about Washington & Lincoln. Historical paintings and photographs provide visual support of the text. The informative song is sung to the familiar tune “Three Blind Mice”.
