Description
This bundle will help your students learn about American Symbols, George Washington, and Abraham Lincoln. It would be perfect for the month of February during President's Day.
Symbols:
In this unit, your students will learn about many famous American Symbols. T
There is a book about the symbols, copy 1 per page. This book will explain each symbol and how it became an important part of American history. ***There is now a color copy as well as black and white****
The symbols covered are:
• White House
• Bald eagle
• American Flag
• Liberty Bell
• Mount Rushmore
• The Washington Monument
• The Lincoln Memorial
• The Statue of Liberty.
In addition there is a packet created for each symbol. The packet allows your student to research and learn about different symbols. In my room, we will be grouping the students and each group will present their American symbol at the end of the week.
There is a mini word wall for children to refer to when spelling the American symbols.

President's Day Fun
This packet includes a section on George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and entire section on comparing and contrasting the two presidents. All pages are black and white except for posters and word wall cards to display in your classroom. This packet is now offered in a bundle with my symbols packet as well. Not all pages are shown in previews due to it being 126 pages.
