Presidential Election: Energy and Environment~ The Perfect Superhero

This powerpoint and activity can be self-directed or teacher led. The project is designed to engage the students in understanding the issues surrounding energy and the environment. After gaining an initial understanding of these issues the students are required to research where the presidential candidates stand in regard to energy and the environment. After they have completed their research they are to create an energy/environment superhero of their preferred candidate or create an unaffiliated candidate who will meet their energy/environment expectations. Included in the powerpoint are four superhero templates for students who prefer not to draw their own. The students are also required to include research facts and sources in the area surrounding the super hero. This miniunit was created to fit within our middle school interdisciplinary unit on the upcoming presidential election.
